Happy Easter

I have decided recently that Easter is my favorite season of all.  I love the springtime weather that usually accompanies Easter (you never know with Idaho weather considering it snowed just two days ago). I love how everything starts  coming to life once again and starts turning green and colorful. I love coloring easter eggs and as a child I could play easter egg hunts ALL day.  I love the Easter colors that are so fun and lively.

The Fam decorating the Easter eggs!! oh so fun!
But most of all I love that it is another time of year where we get to stop and think of our Savior.  I love that everyone is focused on the sacrifice He made for us and it makes me so happy to remember how much He loves me and that He lives.  Easter is the time where Christ rose, after he suffered for our sins because he loves us more than we can comprehend.  Tonight I went to an Easter Cantata with my parents that our stake puts on.  Its a amazing performance of compiled songs about the saviors life accompanied with some spectacular artwork.  I loved the mindset it put me in, where I was able to think and focus solely on Christ.  Easter is wonderful and sometimes I feel it is too often overlooked. So take a moment....appreciate Easter, appreciate Christ.

1st Semester: complete!

Today around 7:00 I finished my last final exam that i needed to complete to finish up my first semester ever of college! Surprisingly the infamous Finals Week wasn't so bad. Yeah maybe i did wait in line to take a test for 20 minutes but hey i thoroughly enjoyed the people watching i accomplished.  I didn't stress myself out about finals due to the fact that my grades were very satisfactory and i think not stressing is the key because only studying ten minutes then just going into the test and going with your gut instinct as far as answers go turned out to be a pretty good method for me this week. (although I'm not planning on keeping that as my main study method.)
College was exactly what i expected, and then again NOTHING like what i expected.  Nevertheless, i LOVED this semester.  College treated me well.  I'm so grateful for the blessings of enjoyable classes, great friends close by, amazing roommates, and the list continues.  Being at college has taught me more than just concepts that i get graded on, it has taught and is still teaching me all sorts of life skills such as friend-making, relationships, common courtesy, cleaning habits, and just to live life and make it fun.  In January i had no idea of the kind of experiences that were ahead of me.  It's crazy to think just how much they've changed me and i wasn't even expecting these changes.  It's all for the best though.
The next adventure I'm looking forward to is what's in store for me in the next 3 months of spring semester ....The possibilites are endless!
BRING IT!

March Madness

It seems as if every year March is always the busiest month or at least it always flys right by.
I visited home to see my family and my niece for her birthday.  It's always nice to go home.
Did I mention that we made the most amazing princess castle cake?
I might make a request to duplicate it for my own birthday this year ;)

This past weekend I went to the Festival of Colors. It's a Hindu celebration but it's mostly just mormon college kids that go. It was so much fun!!  You buy bags of chalk and then everyone just throws it at anyone and everyone! there's actually 4 specific chalk throwings where everyone gathers in a crowd and throw chalk. You can barely breathe for 5 min but everyone just dances and goes crazy! (i'm pretty sure there were a few hippies there smoking some marijuana)....  who would've thought that throwing colored chalk at people would be so fun!

Yep. We threw Spencer up to go crowd surfing

This is what boys look like when they shop at D.I. and Walmart

March 6, 2012: Oreo's 100th Anniversary

Oreos have been around for 100 years...what??? its crazy to think of a world without Oreos.  What would milk's favorite cookie be? All I know is that Oreos should be on the list of the top 10 inventions...ever.  It's true. Everybody loves them. Sooo I decided to celebrate this date in history by eating some of this delicious goodness accompanied with milk :]

For When I'm Married

The other day when I was one Pinterest (which is almost an addiction because I love love love looking at all the ideas and pictures) I found this adorable link to a blog.  Yes I have no clue who these people are BUT they have some amazingly thoughtful, insightful, and adorable ideas for what I think is a healthy marriage.  They mention something about a small metal box which I encourage you to read about here.  Not to mention that box is one of the {10 things} that have made all the difference. Also, every week they write letters to each other and they are VERY short and simple but sometimes a few words is all it takes. The posts of their sincere letters are listed here.  You should mingle around this blog because I love how real these people are.  They work hard in their marriage and because of that you can sense their love for each other. I think I want to use some of these techniques and advise in my future marriage.  I recommend checking this blog out once or twice -- OR everyday like me:]

Country Dancing

It seems like every night of the week there is something fun to do! Two weeks ago Kambrie went to country dancing and said it was the funnest thing ever!! so this last Wednesday I went ahead and tried it out because I thought it would be one heck of a hoedown throw-down.  Annnnnd it was! Country dancing was super fun and I'm probably going to be making it a regular activity in my schedule.  Given I definitely need more practice, like a crazy amount of practice. Especially on the 'dipping' -- I'm absolutely TERRIBLE at that.  I wonder if I have trust issues.....haha.  But yes country dancing is an enjoyable activity and I'd want to try out other styles sometime too.

Earlier this last week, on Monday, my Family Home Evening Group went to the ice skating rink.  I had no idea that it was literally across the street!  Some of our group didn't come because of other things they had planned that night, but it was fun to get to know the ones who came even better! I can't say that I am a pro (or anything even remotely close) at ice skating. In fact I can hardly go faster than a turtle would go on skates. Besides that though it was exhilarating and cold as always in Rexburg!
